11th ASDC program - full draft now available
The full draft 11th ASDC program is now available for download here. The program is still in draft and we anticipate that some changes will be necessary between now and the conference start on 5 July.
In 2010 the ASDC will host a technical conference in parallel with some of the ASDC sessions, to encourage more complete networking across the Australian space industry. The "National Space Engineering Symposium" is the flagship conference of Engineers Australia's National Committee on Space Engineering.
Selection of plenary sessions and keynote speakers
- Dr Michael Green and Prof Ros Dubs: Capacity Building: The Role of Government
- Panel Discussion: Australia's Dependence on Space Services: A Report Card
- Mark Dankberg, ViaSat CEO: New Directions In Space: Challenges and Opportunities for Australia
- Jason Brown, Thales: Charting the Future Direction
- Senator Annette Hurley: "Lost in Space": 18 Months On
- Senator the Hon Kim Carr: Australian Space On The Move (invited)
The program also recognises the importance of informal networking throughout the conference. Each day includes plenty of time at morning and afternoon tea breaks as well as the lunch sessions for discussion and relationship building among the ASDC delegates.
