Welcome to the ASDC

Since 1990, the Australian Space Development Conferences (ASDC) have presented a unique business focus on the international space industry. The ASDCs bring Australian and Asian space companies and civil programs together with international space industry participants. The conferences are designed as a forum where international space industry professionals can talk face to face with each other, build meaningful associations, share their concepts for the future of the industry and discuss the latest developments and trends.

While international in representation, the ASDC has a particular focus on Australia and Asia. The ASDC is a place to conduct and create new business. It presents a unique opportunity to network with space industry leaders from around the world, and to gain a unique insight into the regional space community - both commercial and civil.

This year’s conference is set against a backdrop of tight budgets globally and more than ever organisations and national programs are reaching out for international collaboration. Strong synergies exist between the needs and capabilities of the space players within the Asia Pacific region and this year’s conference will seek to explore and encourage regional cooperation. With this in mind the 12th ASDC will provide a venue for shaping future space activities in this region.

The conference was held over July 8 - 10, 2013 in Adelaide, Australia. We are now compiling the conference DVD from presentations we received from our speakers.
