Getting to the ASDCThe ASDC will be held at the Hilton Adelaide at 233 Victoria Square, Adelaide.
The hotel is approximately 5.5 kilometres (3.4 miles) from the International Airport and is situated overlooking the historic Victoria Square in the centre of Adelaide city. It is five minutes from the venues for the International Space University Summer Session.
For day delegates, parking is available at the Central Market Car Park located directly behind the hotel.
To visit Australia, all delegates require a visa or electronic travel authority. It is the responsibility of delegates to ensure documentation is correct before departure to Australia Please refer to the Australian Department of Immigration at www.immi.gov.au for general information about the documentation needed to attend a business conference or event in Australia.
Taxi charges from Adelaide airport to the hotel are in the vicinity of AU$20-25.00. Travel time is approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic.
We encourage all delegates to stay at the Adelaide Hilton
. Special accommodation rates have been negotiated with the hotel. Delegates intending to stay at the Hilton are asked to include one night’s room deposit with their conference registration.
The ASDC Secretariat will ensure that your accommodation deposit is registered with the Hilton and your deposit is paid. Please indicate your room selection, whether you prefer smoking or non smoking. The hotel will confirm your accommodation by sending you a booking reference.
Discount rates for ASDC delegates are:
- Deluxe Room AU$195.00 per night
- Deluxe Plus Room AU$225.00 per night
- Executive Room AU$265.00 per night
- The Executive rooms include breakfast in the club room.
Delegates will need to register on the first day on which they attend the conference. Our registration desk will be open in the Hilton's Gallery, just outside the conference plenary room, from 7:30 am on 8 July.
Advice to Speakers
Speakers should have their presentation available for loading onto the A.V. equipment in the session prior to their presentation. Please advise the ASDC Secretariat when you have presentation ready and we will organise for it to be loaded for you.
The Adelaide Hilton recently converted its projection facilities to widescreen (16:9) format. It you want to prepare your conference presentation to take advantage of this, you can download our instructions on how to modify your presentation for this format here
The Gala Dinner will not be a black tie event. Delegates are welcome to wear a lounge suit or other suitable attire. Please contact the Secretariat to make partner bookings.
