The 8th ASDC will review key Asian space programmes, both civil and commercial. We will investigate the future of the commercial space market in this region from both a launch service and satellite perspective. Issues such as the future regulatory environments in Asia and potential problems in spectrum licensing will be addressed. Asian representatives will talk about the direction that the civil programmes are headed.
The future needs of satellite customers from around the world over the next five years will be addressed. Satellite manufacturers will give their perspectives on the future satellite market and future trends in satellite usage for security and border protection will be examined, using Australia as an example.
The 8th ASDC is the perfect place to network with senior representatives from space companies and programmes from around the world. With it’s emphasis on Asia however, it presents a unique opportunity to learn about the latest developments and future directions of nearly all of the Asian programmes and commercial ventures. We will also examine space tourism, and debate whether it will ever be a sufficiently sized market to meaningfully contribute to the international space industry.
