Overview of the Conference
The 6th Australian Space Science Conference will examine current research and future trends within a number of important faculties. Some of the work to be presented includes astrobiology, microgravity applications, space engineering and propulsion systems, remote sensing, space physics and planetary science. Papers are refereed. The conference will investigate the latest technologies and ground breaking research in each of these disciplines.

Traditionally the conference also includes sessions on commercialisation of technology, including fund raising, structure and marketing. These sessions are designed to assist researchers and scientists to reap benefit from their technology.

At this conference we will also be running some workshops on the proposed NCSS Decadel Plan for Space Science.

The conference organisers are also proud to be working with the Victorian Space Science Education Centre. The Victorian Space Science Education Centre (VSSEC) is a $6.4 million purpose built facility which will promote the learning of science through engaging educational activities and programs. VSSEC provides a unique collaborative research and education environment, and as part of a global network of Space Science Centers and Institutions, offers a link between local and international business and industry.

The centre will be officially opened on the 17th July. Interested delegates should contact VSSEC Director, Michael Pakakis, on +61 3 9379 3456 if they would like to attend.
